Football: Chatham Cup

The draw for the Chatham Cup and Kate Sheppard Cup have taken place with the fixtures taking place on the weekend of 3-4 August for the Chatham Cup while the semi-finals of the Kate Sheppard Cup will be held on 24-25 August.

The match details are yet to be confirmed, but Dunedin’s Caversham  AFC will be at home and will host Auckland’s Bay Olympic on the weekend of the 3-4 August. The match will  be the only quarter final played in the South Island and will no doubt be a strong test for Caversham’s young squad.

Quiet

By the time 1:00pm rolled around.
I really didn’t think we would get any sport in today with how the morning was. Sure, I knew the weather forecast said it was meant to clear but up until around 11:00am the sky looked along way from clearing. However, by the time 1:00pm rolled around the rain had past and it turned out the met service were right after all.

If today was  on a menu it would probably be called a mixed grill with rain this morning, fine spells in the afternoon for some athletics, a decent swell at the beach for those who were searching for some waves and fairly clear evening.

If you’re after the results from today’s athletic meeting then here’s where you can find them once they’re posted. Checkout all the athletics results here.
