South Island Surfing Champs.
The call was made at 7:30am this morning for everyone to move up the coast to the spit at Aramoana for day 1 of the South Island Surfing Championships. With a decent number of entries for this years event (hosted by the South Coast Boarders), heavy rain, a persistent breeze and a swell created by cyclone cook greeted competitors.
